For a deeper and more engaging experience, S’Abba Frisca Park Museum arranges from time to time, as well as on request, varied demonstrations of our Living Museum where artisans are seen at work in original surroundings as they show arts and crafts from Sardinian farming and pastoral culture.

Educational Farm
By booking, S’Abba Frisca Park Museum offers school groups of all primary and secondary levels a choice of several workshop areas in our Educational Farm.
The set-up of workshops is adjusted to the needs of each class.
Bookings must be made at least 7 days ahead.

Equine breeds
Finding out about diverse equine breeds: we will talk about differences and characteristics of horses, Sardinian donkeys, miniature donkeys from Asinara Island, and a hinny (hybrid offspring of horse stallion and female donkey), and how important each of these animals was for the family economy in the past.

Water and life
The spring, fountains, cascades and the little lake: we examine the aquatic ecosystem with its plants and animals, and reveal secrets of sowing and watering.

Trees, shrubs and herbs
A workshop on species from the Mediterranean maquis: harvesting samples and observing leaves, flowers, fruits, stalks and roots. Classification of species in Latin, Italian and Sardinian with ethno-botanic notes compiled in association with Forest Rangers.
